Joseph L. Agro
Warren, NJ – It is with great sadness, yet faith and hope of resurrection that we want to share with you that Joseph L. Agro, 75, passed into the arms of his creator on November 20, 2021. He passed away peacefully while at home after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia.
He leaves his wife of almost 52 years, Maria (LoVerde), Joseph; his son, Valerie; his daughter, Camille, Annie, Dolores, and Sallie, his sisters, Joseph and Jaelene; his grandchildren as well as many friends.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Joseph James and Yolanda Agro, he spent most of his life living in New Jersey after moving from Brooklyn to settle in the suburbs in 1969. In his early years, Joe would take on odd jobs while attending Brooklyn Polytechnic where he received a degree in Chemical Engineering. He met his wife while vacationing in Florida and they were married in 1969. Shortly after, he entered the plastic recycling field and several other self employed businesses and did the work of a Mechanical Engineer until his retirement in 2016 from a highly successful business, AutoDrill.
He was a graduate of the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering in 1968.
Joe had a passion for motorcycles and was known to ride them up until the time he was ready to retire. He and his wife Maria even completed the Polar Bear Grand Tour which is a winter season motorcycle meet-up that takes place in the NJ metropolitan area every weekend while most have their motorcycles in winter storage.
