The Series 2100 AutoDrill is based on the 2000 Series unit with the addition of a plunger-style HydroSpeed feed cylinder. This addition overcomes the limitation of simple pneumatic feed control. The two-speed feed rate is standard. The HydroSpeed (sometimes called Hydra-Brake) controls the critical work penetration feed rate and breakthrough process. The HydroSpeed can be provided in multiple locations. This flexibility is appreciated when drilling closely spaced holes or on special projects where flexibility is critical. It also simplifies maintenance since it can be repositioned or replaced without disturbing the body of the drill.Â

There are several advantages of an industrial drill over a hand drill, among them:

Safety: a hand drill can easily slip into the user's hand. In contrast, an industrial drill provides more stability for the workpiece, as the table allows a vise or clamp to firmly locate and tighten the workpiece, making the operation much safer.
